One third of our lives is spent in bed and we believe your hotel guests deserve to spend that time in the highest quality bedlinen.

Our bedding has graced the beds of some of the world’s best hotels. And with over 90 years of combined experience working with the 5* hotel industry, we know how to give your guests a good night’s sleep.

We had a dream to craft bedlinen that left a lasting impression and after countless calls from guests asking why they slept so well, we believe we’ve done just that.

The best stays start with a memorable sleep, which is why you’ll find our premium bedding in over 15,000 luxury hotel bedrooms. Every day, boutique B&Bs, world-class spas, and prestigious hotels like The Lanesborough choose our linens to make their guests feel special.

Everything’s been designed to keep your visitors cosy in winter and just right in summer.

Treat your guests to the very best, with superior quality bedlinen that will have them returning again and again to indulge in just one more night.

Sleep well, knowing you’ve made a sustainable and ethical choice

Our commitment to sustainable and ethical linen practices runs through everything we do. We’ve been a member of the Better Cotton Initiative since 2016, which means our cotton is better for smallholders, farmers, communities, our customers and the world.

All of our linens are ethically sourced, and we work closely with mills who put social and environmental responsibility first. We also hold Global Organic Textiles certification, uphold a strict ethical supplier code of conduct and have zero tolerance for child labour. Our feather and down ranges are regulated by the EDFA (The European Down & Feather Association) or RDS (Responsible Down Standard) who enforce good animal welfare across all of our products.

We believe the textile industry has a crucial part to play in a sustainable future, and we want to be at the forefront of the textiles revolution. You can sleep soundly, knowing your hotel’s bedding doesn’t just feel good, it also does good.

The Team

Robert and Catherine share their passion for lasting luxury linen with a team skilled in everything, from logistics and sustainable textiles to developing the latest lines

Robert Lancaster Gaye

Co founder

There’s no such thing as good enough,’ my first boss used to say. I was 18 and had turned down a place to study architecture to join a textile wholesaler. Suddenly, I found myself working for the pickiest person on earth. Back then, in the 1970s, I got to try my hand at everything, from delivering to shipping companies and processing orders, to packing hessian sacks. Cardboard cartons were yet to be invented and at the end of the week you’d have bleeding hands from stitching bales. You could say I learnt the hard way, but I’d say that’s the only way to really learn the industry inside out.

Catherine Morris

Managing Director

I grew up on the south coast, but like many young people, I wanted a taste of city life. My escape came in the form of university where I was able to pursue my photography and marketing interests before joining Nestle to help launch brands and work on some of the biggest household names. You learn a lot from jumping in at the deep end but you’re only ever as good as your mentors – Robert is mine. His deep knowledge about the luxury textile market and my passion for building brands led to the launch of Tielle retail, a leading supplier of hotel quality linen to the domestic market. As MD at Tradelinens, I’ll continue to grow the business on the quality values that set us apart.
